We've already spoken on this thread about Kan Ha Diskan, a traditionnal Breton way of singing. Torkad is a new band that play this particular sort of music in Fest Noz (night parties in Breton).
According to my on-line Breton dictionnary, Torkad simply means group or band...
Kan Ha Diskan is a very special way of singing, glad you like it .
Did you hear the post about Boxty I put in the "recommanded music" thread ? I know it's not obvious with their name and the sort of music they play (irish music and most of their songs are in english) but it's a Breton group starting to be famous. I love them.
