Listening to Tracy Chapman's "New Beginning" CD. Always awesome!

The peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is, that it is robbing the human race; posterity as well as the existing generation; those who dissent from the opinion, still more than those who hold it. If the opinion is right, they are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error for truth: if wrong, they lose, what is almost as great a benefit, the clearer perception and livelier impression of truth, produced by its collision with error. ~John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859
Education: that which reveals to the wise, and conceals from the stupid, the vast limits of their knowledge. ~Mark Twain

"'Mercy!" Cried Gandalf. 'If the giving of information is to be the cure of your inquisitiveness, I shall spend the rest of my days in answering you. What more do you want to know?'
'The names of all the stars, and of all living things, and the whole history of Middle-earth and over-heaven and of the sundering seas,' laughed Pippin. 'Of course! What less? But I am not in a hurry tonight."
I found out about a Christian alternative music station that you can listen to on either the radio or on line! I am so excited because I have been looking for something like this for a long time. It is called Air 1.com and they have radio stations all over the country! I can listen to it both in the car and when I am online! Really cool!
BTW, there are only three CDs in my collection that are so good, all the songs warranted being copied onto my computer: Posing As Human by Rise, Aerosmith's Greatest Hits (the one from their early days with Columbia-the second CD I ever owned) and Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
"We all get heavier as we get older because there's a lot more information in our heads." So I'm not fat, I'm just really intelligent and my head couldn't hold anymore so it started filling up the rest of me! "Mama Tater"
Amazingly, I've listened to very little NPR this week. Normally I'm a NPR junkie, but I find congressional hearings boring. It's all coverage of the "Scalito" confirmation hearings.
