QUOTE (Sekhmet @ 06-Nov-2006, 01:02 PM)
Hey neighbor!

I'm from around Pittsburgh, so you're not far away from me at all...I'm in and out of Gettysburg a good bit, and up around Johnstown/Altoona some too, plus my husband's mother's family is up around Clearfield/Dubois. Glad to see you made it here!

Clearfield/ dubois smile.gif we go up to the dubois mall it better then the malls around us!

I wish i was in and out of Gettysburg more but can't at this time. with being 5 hours drive it's not a day trip kinda ride.

We just went to are Shire event for the year the first weekend of Oct called Harvest raid.
We had a great time but oh so muddy and wet out.
DH was one of the 3 finalist for throwing wepons. biggrin.gif
We had a great feast! vist with friends and drank some great rum!
I made some Eldaberry cordial that was a hit with many people. also made eldaberry mead and many called it chirstmas in a bottle laugh.gif
So i guess it is something i will make every year! king.gif
Till next years event! beer_mug.gif

Anyone been on one? What did you think?

We went on one in Gettysburg, the one in town. It was fun and the stories were cool, but I don't know.

Anyone have any interesting experiences on one?

Yes I've been on a ghost tour in gettysburg. I think the amount of fun/intenseity you have depends on your tour guide.

May i ask what ghost tour u went on in Gettysburg?

We have a friend that works for the black cat tour in Gettysburg name steve.
Also there is the hunted gettysburg there good ghost stories but thats all i can say!
Then there is are friend Joe that does ghost tours and also dinner theater.

I enjoy them very much. I have had a time were i was last in the tour and my back went very cold and when i turned around my face got cold as ice. DH and girls toke photos but didn't see anything in them but me. But i was very frecked out i had moved over a bit away from were i had been standing.

[B]COLOR=green]Are u a paid member of the SCA?

My husband and i were for a year a few years ago. But we don't go to that many events to spend over 40 dollors a year. So we pay the $3.00 no member fee when we go to events. [/COLOR]
