Oooo... I just thought of a good band. Tree63 - they are from South Africa. Do any of you ever listen to them? They have great lyrics and a pretty unique sound.
I thoroughly enjoy Christian rock and folk music. My favorite Christian rock bands are: Kutless, 12 stones, Pillar and Skillet.
My all time favorite Christian artist is Rich Mullins, His music is so moving and soulful. The lyrics are incredible, filled with deep meaning. I love the way he takes you on a journey with his songs. Too bad he had to leave this Earth too soon. It is so wonderful to be able to read and post with all of you.
Thank you,

Typical! "Always the last to know", to quote a favorite Del Amitri song lyric. Well shoot, now I have to go out and get yet anOTHER Delirious cd.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king..."
Yeah, I cried when I heard about it. I went to one of his last concerts and it was awesome!! I love all of his songs but my favs are Awesome God and step by step. My Deliverer is Coming has such a beautiful meaning as well. I have all of his CDs.
I love "Awesome God" also. I was very blessed to meet Rich at the Indianapolis Indiana airport. (made a total goof of myself telling him how much I like his music) He was eating an Ice Cream cone and I didn't let him get a word in edge wise (that's just me) he just nodded and ate his ice cream regardless Rich seemed like a very nice person. Glad for him that he got to go home, sorry for the rest of us

How long has he been gone? I've only rediscovered Christian music about 2 and a half years ago when I came back to God. I was just beginning to take an interest in his music when I found out that he had died.

Hello Aragorn,
Rich Mullins is one of my all time favorite Christian Artist. I love his lyrics and melodies. He was a story teller with an unique perspective. I think he was one of the greatest Poets of our time. I too own everyone of his albums, all except the very first entitled Rich Mullins. When he crossed over the Jordon, it hit me like a ton of bricks because I had just lost my brother two months earlier. Sadly I never got to see him in concert, my family did though.
Glad to meet you. Hope to see you around the different forums.
Peace, Roisin
