Storm clouds gathered
In the South
The sky an angy black
White caps rise
To blow away
The spray like sand
Against the face
Waves careen against
The Hull, sending
Grey-white water
Soaring high,then
Crashing down.
Will be a storm in
Which men die.
Tis like a Beast
Alive, clawing
Hungry, ravening in
Its demand to
Savage all and
Sate its Soul.
The Mercury drops
And ice now forms
A clinging weight to
Draw you down
Its windbourne darts
To lance the flesh
Cutting to the bone
Below a shambles
Black cold water
Sloshing round
At pumps men straining
To keep control
The wind a keening
Roaring knell bourne
Straight out the
Mouth of Hell
To Starboard looms
Lands rocky edge
To Port lies
Ocean without end
The Horn we round
But if we fail
Not one will Live
To tell the Tale

That's a great story, so alive that I can see myself in the ship while watching from afar but yet live the storm...great poem of action Camac.

The Horn sounds like is a scary place, and it’s nice not to have to actually experience it.
Thanks JC
