Hi all,

I have been to the beautiful Lake George this week-end and stayed at the Fort William Henry Resort Hotel.

We were just beside the Fort of course so could not help ourselves my husband and I and go visit the place.

This was quite a battle that happened there and what damage it did.

If any one of you would be interested in discussing this battle between the French,Indians and the British.

So let's discuss it, the topic is opened and I'm sure that some of you have pretty good knowledge about it.

As I read the book "The Great Warpath" from author David R.Starbuck I came upon one interesting fact.

As incredible as it may sound, the horrific massacre that occured in August 1757 as the Brits surrendered to the Marquis de Montcalm that event inspired one notorious author to write a story.

Does any of you would know what story I'm talking about?

Contrary to the book and the movies Munroe did not die in the massacre but some three to four months later in Albany N.Y.
