The question is simple, does anyone know exactly what "benefits" you gain as a clan member as you are assigned a higher rank number? (I.E. what advantage does a rank 5 have over a rank 1) Obviously one gains more ability the higher you go; I am rank 8 and can do pretty much anything my chieftain can at rank 9, but where does the actual change begin?

It is my understanding that those ranked 6 or above can do almost the same things as the Clan Chieftain, who is ranked 9. Those ranked 5 and below show a pecking order and can not do much.

With the Chieftain ranked at 9, he has total control over the Clan. He can dissolve the Clan, change the Clan information, manage the Clan, or invite someone to the Clan. The big one is dissolving the Clan. The Chieftain started it and can abolish it. As far as I know you can not transfer the rank of 9 to someone else. I've never tried it to figure it out.

So unless your above rank 6 you really can't do much. I'm curious now exactly what opens up to you from 6 to 9.

Interesting stuff, thanks for the info Lord Steven.

If you have the ability, you gain access from the main page "Clans." Then on to manage members.

Is that anything like being king for your "kingdom" ????

Or is this only if you were to start up one's own clan?

Haven't seen anything about this in the wiki till I was browsing thru the forums and found this post.

I know as "king" you get to set who is going to be your ministers of finance etc..but just what, if any , benefits this gives one, I've never found any info on.

I THINK that the kingdom system has been replaced with the Clan system! It is POSSIBLE for a kingdom to unite, and serve the same purpose of a Clan. But that has never taken hold, as the Clan system has over run it. I could see the kingdoms doing just as the Clans, it just didn't take hold.

I was actually just giving some thought to the Kingdom system. In order to promote better organization of Kingdoms we might offer a bonus in resources to those people that can organize their Kingdom and elect officials.

Just a thought. This bonus will occur with each resource distribution as long as the Kingdom stays active.

Another thought , Paul, would be for Clan members to be able to "migrate" from the kingdom they are in to a "kingdom" that would consist of fellow clan members, up to a certain number, such as 5 *just a number to throw out there*.

There should be a resource cost for moving like this , but it could get interesting, seeing folks of like mind getting into one area.

Just my 2 cents here smile.gif

I agree completely! If clans could band together in one kingdom they could utilize the kingdom diplomacy to maximum advantage. thumbs_up.gif

There is a ranking system with in a clan that allows you to do different things in the clan, The clan Chieftain is usually the one the changes your rank.
There are Lords and Ladies and Kings and Queens, The kings and queens have to be voted in by the people of their country.

As soon as you start building you will start moving up in score, it will take a little wile to get your Construction and Research done (try to get all of this done that you can wile in beginner protection)

Hope this helps

Emmalou ,

The ranking I think you are referring to is based on how many posts you make in the Celtic Radio or Medieval Kingdom Forums. You start at peasant and work yourself up from there. If you help support the site and become a member you can change the title/rank to whatever you wish. The other benefit to posting in forums aside from great conversation with fellow CR members is that you increase your post rating and thus you get the highest allowed level of resources given to you each hour in the MK game.

Speaking of post ratings......this is something I don't quite understand totally.

I know that the amount/quality of posting that you do has a direct and continuing effect on your resources, 100% meaning you get full amount based on resource buildings etc.

Is this dependent ONLY on posts/replies made here in the MK forums or are posts made in the CR forums also counted in ?

YIS,

Lady Dragonfire
