To-day my bubby Sammy died. He was pretty sick with Feline Leukemia and he died in the Vets' office while I held him. He died naturally as he just stopped breathing while I was petting him. Sammy was 12 but I only had him for 9 months. Before I took him he was my youngest daughters cat that she got from the cat rescue society. In just 9 months he managed to worm his way into my heart and even though I expected it I still cried like a baby when he left. There is a poem about a "Rainbow Bridge" where our pets play while they wait for us to join them. I hope it is true. Good-Bye Buddy see you soon.

I'm so sorry. It's so hard when we lose a pet. They really do become a part of us.

It's the hardest thing to do; putting down a pet. We have had 6 dogs over the course of nearly 30 years. 4 of them we had to put down. We currently have an 11 year old pomerian and a 2 year old Australian Sheppard.

The previous 4 dogs had such a strong will to live and stay with us, I don't think they wanted to go but they were all in so much pain and literally having strokes and one with cancer.

Sorry to hear about your pet.

I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty. It's hard losing a pet, especially because their love is so unconditional. They become a part of our lives so quickly, that when they pass, expected or not, it's never easy letting them go. Take comfort in knowing that he knew he was loved and he's no longer sick or in pain.
