It's that time of year where you can come in the house and jump into the freezer to warm up.

Right now in Ottawa, the temperature is -25 degrees celsius (-13 degrees fahrenheit) and that is without the windchill. By tomorrow morning, it is apparently going to be -30 degrees celsius (-22 degrees fahrenheit). With the windchill figured in, it is going down to -45 degrees celsius (-49 degrees fahrenheit).

Ok, Keltic now that is cold! jawdrop.gif We are suppose to be having a cold front move in tomorrow nothing that cold I hope. Usually when the cold comes here in Wyoming, it gets like that and they stays like that for a couple of weeks. Then the wind comes up which makes the blizzard conditions. You keep warm, have yourself a hot cup of somethin ya like and let me know if you survied. Do you know if you will have snow for Christmas?

Yeah, it got cold enough that it shoved some of down our way in the sunny south. As I type it is 14 degrees F (-10 C). High today supposed to be right at freezing, then a couple degrees colder tonight. Keltic, why can't ya'll send some of this stuff down in July and August when we need it? rolleyes.gif

Update: This morning's official low for my town 10 degrees F (-12 C).

well I couldn't believe it. It was actually snowing last night here in our part of North Carolina. Fayetteville with a nice little white blanket.

It was a good thing that I went out yesterday afternoon and got me more milk and stuff. Running today with all these people who don't know how to drive here in the snow - I am afraid of my new car.

But it was nice to see some snow instead of ice-rain, which we proably get sometime in January.

I like the cold weather.

-45 degrees, thats cool, really cool.

Here in Switzerland we have about -10 degrees in the Mountains. In the State of Zürich it's about -2°C during the day.

But -45°C that must be so cold.

I hear you, Keltic. Ange and I were walking around in shirts yesterday, but when I got up this morning, there was 4" of snow (15" drifts) and it was -14 (6.8) and it should be dropping to -17 (1.4) today with a windchill of -25 (-13). Brutal. Should be -25 tonight, and I don't want to even think of that windchill. unsure.gif

The wind was insane last night. I had to get up at 12:30 to fix the gate, which was banging on the power metre on the other side of our bedroom wall. Bare foot. If I tried that tonight, my feet would freeze to the concrete. sad.gif

I'm just glad we got our tree yesterday. smile.gif (finally. It took all day to find one)

Wow.

What you guys are having makes 15º with a wind chill of -4º seem balmy.

Wow, that is getting cold for you all. I am hoping for snow by this weekend but it looks like rain. The temo has gotten down to the low 20s but the highs are still around mid to upper 30s so I don't think it will snow yet. I will keep my fingers crossed though.

It's about 90°F here today, bright and sunny with a strong northeast wind coming off the bay of Parita. The wind is a good indication that summer is arriving in this part of the world.
