You certainly can tell when I actually have work here at the office - my posts go way, way down! But I'm still alive and kicking.

This is the craziest weather. Every time we think that spring is finally here, the next thing you know we get another blast of cold. Last night we were supposed to have temps in the low 30-s. So what were my girls and my honey doing near midnight last night? They were outside pelting each other with water balloons! What a bunch of nutcases.

Tonight we are finally going to have our family dinner that we've been trying to plan since the beginning of the year. For those of y'all in the area, I'll bet you've either been to or heard of Provino's. It's our favourite Italian restaurant and that's where we're eating this evening. It looks like all the kids (with the exception of Black Sheep Girl) will be able to come. We will be celebrating my dad's 86th, DD#1's 24th, DD#3's 14th, and DD#4's 11th birthdays. At one point, we used to go out for individual birthdays but (since my dad pays) Dad has decided to combine those that end up fairly close together. But this year it has just been a scheduling nightmare to round up the troops - rather like herding cats.

I'm still going to the chiropractor to deal with my neck/shoulder from the car wreck. He said 6-8 weeks of treatments so I'm being optimistic that one of these days I'll get back to some semblance of normal. (whatever that is) wink.gif

I have a few minutes so I think I'll go check out some of the forums.

Glad to see you back Wombat. And I am sorry to hear that you are still having problems with your back and neck.

I have day classes today, tomorrow, and Monday. I also had a day class yesterday. I went to bed at 4:30 PM yesterday. I had such a bad headache. I usually don't get one. But I guess with the pollen, and sitting in a dark room watching video it was just too much.

Tonight I dance. So you won't see me around. It is suppose to be nice I think this week end so hopefully we will get some things in the garden.

My oldest has a birthday this weekend so we are going to a Mexican restaurant and celebrate.

Well I have to go

Hi all,
I just registered and am checking out the site. I have lots of time to work on the genealogy, read, surf the net, etc. 'cause I'm in bed most of the time with a compression fracture in my back.
This is just a really cool site! I like to go to the Celtic and Irish Festivals in the Fort Worth, Texas area. I hope I'm well enough to go to the one in Bedford. It's small, but growing. I'm still trying to discover if the Bryans who came from England to Ireland were connected to any clan. I think the Martins were connected to the McDonald clan; at least that's what one of the venders told me last year.
I'm open to any information.

Well I am planning on getting outside tomorrow as Sunday is suppose to be nasty. I have a special spot outside that I like to go sit and just listen to the birds sing. I am looking forward to it as I have been stuck inside today.

Hey Gang!

I've been pretty much AWOL lately, not by design, but by the busyness of life. I still check in virtually every day, but I'm going to try and get back in a posting mode. All is well at the Haynes household. Everyone is healthy and busy.

Have a great weekend!

When I was two I had a brother who was still born. I have some unusual memories of it. Dad bought another farm so Mom would not have to live in the old house with her memories. I remember the move in quite some detail, probably because of fear. I stayed with my two Aunts for over a year till Mom got a handle on things (nervous break down.) I can only guess how bad it must have been for her.

I had an employe who lost a child. they split over it. Parents should never have to out live their children.

Hello to everyone - especially Haynes9 - I have been wondering where you and several others have been. Glad you are well. Yes, life is busy for me too with the end of the school year approaching - the magic number is now at less than 20 days - yeah! But, I won't be able to rest much - I have a teacher conference in Austin, TX to go to, a couple of new teachers that I have to help train, plus we might be moving to a new house - here in Smyrna - this summer. wacko.gif blink.gif

Hello everyone!

I've been kinda prairie-dogging here the past few weeks and not posting much.

I'm just at my parents' house, doing my laundry and listening to an internet bluegrass radio station.

Just a quick note to say hi. Still be hobbling around with my sprained ankle. Apparently it was worse than I thought. I went to a podiatrist this past Monday cause my GP told me that if it wasn't getting any better after a month to return. Well, I called my doctor and not to diss him but that I preferred to see a specialist to expedite things cause I knew something wasn't right about this sprain. I was referred to this most wonderful podiatrist guy and would have thought to go see a foot doctor?! I certainly didn't. I still have no fracture but I did some damage to both tissues and ligaments and as a result some large cyst has formed in there in which I have to go in on Friday morning for minor in office surgery. Apparently there is some infection going on and I am now on high doses of antibiotics. Right now I am in a purple cast from my foot to nearly up to my knee.

In the meantime, my niece is getting married on Sunday, having family coming in from Oregon to attend this wedding on Friday and will be staying with several family members here in Arizona, including ourselves. And all I can worry about at this point is what kind of shoes am I going to be able to wear for the wedding?! LOL

Great to hear from everyone else on how all is doing here.

Haynes! Great to see you back!

Talk to you all soon!

Hello everybody! How in the world did it get to be May already? I think winter just seemed to drag on because we would have a few springlike days and then we'd backtrack to the chilly stuff.

My 16-year-old son had his wisdom teeth taken out last Friday and he was the funniest person afterwards. You coudn't shut him up! And I filmed a few minutes of him in the car - talk about a wild and crazy guy. He and I put the video up on our youtube sites and he's had over a hundred hits on his site alone!

My girlfriend and I have decided to get things going with our quilt business. She's got a sample quilt on display at the embroidery shop nearby and we've got one commission from a friend of mine. Hopefully, this will give us a little money to help pay for gas these days (I sure am glad she only lives about 3 minutes away).

Happy Spring everyone! And don't forget that the month of May is GBS/CIDP Awareness month. (That's Guillain-Barre Syndrome and Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy) www.gbs-cidp.org
