So here I am flitting around the Internet and I discover something called Burn's Night Celebration. It seems to be a time when family and friends gather to eat traditional food, drink traditional beverages, and regale in the poetry of Robert Burns.
But I'm a clueless American that has never engaged in such. And knowing that the Internet is sometimes filled with half-truths, I come here asking for the real story on this celebration.
Thanks in advance for anything.
(I did read somewhere that there is a special type of haggis creature that has two shorter legs on one side, and as such constantly runs around in circles. This type of haggis is much easier to capture and cook for the Burn's Night meal that those haggi which have all four legs the same length. I thought this information was especially helpful.)

I've seen it discussed on the X Marks kilt forum, but I've never really payed much attention to it. HERE is just one thread I found when I did a search for Burns Night. Hope this helps your quest for the truth.
