Whether you have a sweetheart, you're looking for a sweetheart, or just don't see the need, here's wishing you all a Happy Valentine's 2024!

"We are all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness—and call it love. True love." – Robert Fulghum

Rainy and cool here in the Western US. I will take that over the blistering heat which is undoubtedly on its way in the coming weeks. Hope those still alive and kicking in the CR forums are enjoying the end of spring 2023!

The church I attend has a Zoom meeting option setup for those who cannot attend. That was helpful during the holiday season with all these varients that keep popping up. I miss in person meetings and try to attend when I feel I can safely keep my distance but I really dont want to get Covid so I zoom more than I go these days.

Crossing fingers that vaccines and varients will calm down enough to keep these surges from continuing.

Thoughts and Prayes - stay safe everyone!

False - I got kidney stones in my body instead of coal in my stocking this year *OUCH!*

You're hopeful that 2022 will be better than 2020 or 2020-won.

I haven't seen many introductions from new members on this chat so I will re-introduce myself after being a member of Celtic Radio for 15 years.

Hi I'm Argyll (usually spelled Argyle and pronounced R-Guy-eL)

I enjoy all sorts of celtic music but find myself enjoying the Jigs n Reels more and more. It was fifteen years ago today that I was looking for something out of the box to listen to and could stream for free while I was working in the office. The rest, as they say is history.

I've made many virtual friends here over the years and enjoy the different perspectives shared in all the posts made. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and still appreciate everything that Celtic Radio offers as much as I do.

Considering the original link was posted 15 years ago (my does time fly) it no longer worked when i tried it.

I used a websearch to find a different but similar quiz
What Kind of American English Do You Speak?

This is the result i got from it:
"Upper Midwest English
To others, you might not seem like you have much of an accent at all. It's only when listening closely that they can hear the upper Midwest influence. You would rather say "you guys" rather than "y'all," and your verbal foundations are clear when you speak. You learned to speak colloquially, and it has stuck with you!"

It started working again the next day so maybe it was just a one-off issue but I will try adding the "dot com" at the end if I have any further issues.

Thanks for the quick reply and for making sure we can continue to enjoy the great music this holiday season!

Tool - Forty Six and 2

If you have never heard the song or seen the video, these kids do a pretty awesome cover of it.

I have been listening to Highlander radio through my Alexa Dot devices and in the past couple weeks I have been listening to A Celtic Christmas on them as well. For some reason A Celtic Christmas is no longer available on my devices. Do you know if it is because it has stopped being offered on Tune in or is there a new magic phrase I need to use?

"Alexa. Play Highlander Radio from Tunin" still works but replacing "Highlander Radio" with "A Celtic Christmas" and my Alexa device "cannot" play it.

Any suggestions to get it working again would be much appreciated!

The list below is my personal favorite to least fav:

1 A Celtic Christmas
2 Highlander Radio
3 Best of Celtic Radio
4 Celtic Moon
5 Celtic Dance Tavern
6 Salty Dog Radio
7 Celt Rock Radio

I realize my top pick is a seasonal one which is why I want to share that Highlander Radio is a very close second.

Thanks for everything you do to keep these going and available!

Thanks for the quick reply. I was able to play around with my security settings and get the penny arcade working again through my incognito chrome browser. That's right, Celtic Radio is part of my secret browsing but mostly because I do not have to clear cookies as much. Sounds like there are work arounds in place and if I have issues I will switch over to edge.

Keep up the great work and cheers for keeping the site going for the last 20 years! I look forward to telling my grandkids that I used CR "back in the day" and that it is almost as old as the world wide web! LOL

So with Adobe getting rid of their flash player does this mean the end of the Celtic Radio Penny Arcade?

I receive an Adobe Flash error every time I attempt to open a game. First Farmville and now Penny Arcade! I'm too old or technology is outdated too quick. Perhaps both!

Happy New Year!

I was looking for some Celtic music to stream at work 14 years ago today, I discovered Celtic Radio and the rest is history. Over the years I have met some amazing friends on this site and it has been my go to for Celtic music even when my Alexa dot cannot figure out how to play it for me.

Thank you for being here all these years Celtic Radio!
