Here in south central Kentucky the weather has been unseasonably warm, temps from 50's to 70's the last month. I have mixed feelings about this. I enjoy this weather but since I am originally from the north, this warm and sunny weather just doesn't feel like Christmas.
Partly cloudy & dry, high of 80. Have a funeral this afternoon; glad I'm not in Denver.
In early November I piped a service at Fla. National Cemetery; 45 with nearly a wind speed to match. Went home, and made something I'd been thinking of for a couple of years; took a pair of long, heavy knitted wool gloves, lined with quilted Thinsulate (you really have to look hard for such a thing in Florida), cut the fingers & thumbs off, and finished the edges with blanket stitching. The next day it went up to 80, gloves went in the drawer, and I don't think we've had a cold day since.
Were in a heat wave!!! It's now up to 17 degrees and sunny. No snow. Denver got major dumped on. Glad I am not flying from there. Tis the season though. Can kind of expect it I guess. I will be traveling on Sunday or Monday so in a way I don't want a white Christmas.
Emmet---80 degrees wowowo Hope the funeral goes well. As well as funerals can go.
Sorry for the people in the NW. Hope your all keeping safe with the no power and terrible storms.
It's hard to get into the christmas season when it's in the 50's and raining. I WANT SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is what i was thinking too, I just woke up and it is 55 outside. Channel 13 weather team says we might get some flurries on x-mas though....cross your fingers for us hahahahahaha
It's 15 degrees (about) and snowing. Finally! The cabin is always beautimouse this time of year - cold - but beautimouse!!!!

The weather made it another typical NorCal Christmas - fairly sunny, patchy clouds with some overcast and in the 50's (F). Tomorrow the forecast is rain - through most of this week. However, I'm glad that I'm off-work this week - more time at home to snuggle by the fire!!
It has been a cold, overcast rainy day in Virginia with not a single speck of snow. Have only had a few flurries this year. Wish we could get some snow. Might pull me out of the blues...
