I found these videos, and I must admit they are a very good collection of Obama's former and recent statements. This might easily fit into the Politics Live Online forum, and if someone thinks it should be there I wouldn't mind it being moved. However, I think the message being done through a biblical perspective makes it good for here.

Ok, that said, take note of the various times Obama contradicts himself. He's quite a piece of work. It will take about 20 minutes to view all 3.

The peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is, that it is robbing the human race; posterity as well as the existing generation; those who dissent from the opinion, still more than those who hold it. If the opinion is right, they are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error for truth: if wrong, they lose, what is almost as great a benefit, the clearer perception and livelier impression of truth, produced by its collision with error. ~John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859

Now that we have this creep All we can do is pray for the Lord's guidance and that we survive him and can teach our children dispite him. He may be right in that we are not a Christian nation but he is wrong in that we are not a nation under God. I have been trying to learn about all the religions in our country and the world. Not all believe in Christ, but all the major religions of the world do believe in God or the Great Spirit. Jewish, Muslims, Buddhists, etc. all teach the same basic moral values. All life comes from a male and a female together as one. Our founding fathers said we are One Nation under God and taught we have rights that are given to us for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We have fought for and many have died for these rights. Our military today still fights for us and our rights. The cry of John Paul Jones still goes out among our military today "Give me liberty or give me death."
How can so many fall for Satan's lies and not see this Obama for who and what he is?
Pray for our nation and our children that we survive this new Hitler.

Good Lord. The guy hasn't even had a chance to do anything yet, and half the nation has turned him into the Devil. US, you're doomed for lack of being able to get along with yourself.

About Half of our nation is conservative and as conservatives it is hard to swallow his agenda. I know of a lot of democrats that voted for Obama but they are against a lot of his policies. I don't understand that kind of thinking. This a election was against the current administration.

I have to wonder why world wide people are so caught up with Obama in some ways you would think that he was elected their president. I don't know why people are not questioning him more. A lot has not been said about the real Obama and I think his true colors are going to become more apparent.

As Christians we are commanded to pray for our leaders and that I will do.

gwenlee.;

The world is excited about Obama because they see an end to the arrogance of the Bush Administration which has done more to damage relationships with its allies than any previous admistration. They see a possible glimmer of hope that maybe Obama might turn things around. I agree with oldraven, the man hasn't even been sworn in and already he is being vilified. This fanatical religious conservatism will be your downfall as a Nation. Does it not say somewhere in your bible " Judge not less you be Judged" and whether the US likes it or not it is judged every day and in a lot of cases is found wanting.

The Christian Case FOR Obama

Romans 13:1-7

1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgement on themselves. 3For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. 4For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. 6This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. 7Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

I guess that's that. wink.gif

So true and the other side tends to forget that.

Are you talking about the first time he was voted in, or the second? Even I thought he needed to 'finish the job' in the last election. I was wrong too. wink.gif

Personally I don't believe he's being turned into anything. I think he is what he has always been...an ultra liberal, liar, socialist, and malcontent. He is not being judged on what he's done (that is something that doesn't exist) but rather on his words which, if you have paid any attention, are many. He has asserted a vision of America that screams socialism, and that in statements that stretch back over a decade. So, while you may want the US to turn into Socialist States of Amerika, we who criticize Obama for his stance do not. I'm still asking the question, and if you or anyone else will answer I would be grateful. Just like Barbara West in her question to Biden:

Sure, I'll respond.

This is in the wrong forum, because you stopped talking about the 'Christian case against Obama' a few posts back. I take issue with people trying to make the man into someone Jesus doesn't like. It's F*@kin' ludicrous. And to meet somewhere in between, do you think Jesus would be a Socialist, or a Capitalist? That's actually a great idea for another thread. Fair game, since you're the one who's brought the 'Jesus doesn't support Obama because he's a Socialist' point up.

How can we even argue about this? We're all idiots for doing so.

"The other side"

Like it or not we are a divided nation. For me the other side is the very liberal side.
Religion and politic are to very passionate subjects. I tend to lean toward a candidate that best reflects my views. And no abortion is not my main issue, although I am pro life.

Whether Christ would be a capitalist or a socialist is a mute point. But as a Christian I look at what the candidate stands for and I would find it hard to vote for someone who doesn't reflect my Christian view point the majority of the time

While it remains to be seen, I think comparing Obama to Marx is as extreme as comparing Palin to Hitler as someone did on another thread, especially when he hasn't assumed office yet. While he's going to have a democratic majority in congress, that doesn't mean he'll have carte blanche for his every legislative whim.

I agree with gwenlee's point. We are a divided nation. Politics has become a pendulum which swings from conservative to liberal extremes. When it reaches its apex on one side, the other screams foul, the moderates get scared and the populace votes for an extremist on the other side. The pendulum swings in the opposite direction and the cycle repeats. Why we continue this melodrama is perhaps because the people are extremists and vote their kind. If so, we're in for a rocky and utterly unnecessary ride and will probably expend an enormous amount of energy, vituperation, finances and resources of every kind in pursuit of every manifestation of the avoidance of reasonableness the human imagination can conjure. Think I'll go back to listening to Sandy Denny sing Wild Mountain Thyme. Beauty is about the only consolation left.
