Celtic Radio Community > Celtic Radio > A Celtic Christmas 2005

Christmas has finally arrived on CelticRadio.net!

From now until the day after Christmas our broadcast will play only Christmas selections, mostly Celtic, but some selections will cross over to a few similiar genres.

This year we have compiled the largest selections yet of Christmas melodies. Some Gaelic, Scots, Irish, Welsh and even a few surprises.

One change to this years program is we will be playing a Jig & Reel every 5th song. Our Jig & Reel selections contain some of our best tracks and it is our hope to introduce a bit of Celtic music to new listeners we might pick up.

We hope you enjoy the music next to the Christmas Tree, , the lights, the fireplace and during a few quite moments late at night. Celtic Radio at Christmas time is certainly an experience to add to your workplace or home - so we sincerely hope you have a safe, happy and joyous holiday season!

Haha, I realize it if you have to get your Celtic fix somewhre else, but hey thats ok!

We actually did very good today to a big audience. We should exceed last years listening stats and not lose any ground on our ranking as most stations lose listeners this time of year to the Seasonal Stations.

note.gif I am enjoying the Christmas Music on HR. I got to hear Charlie Zahm do O Holy Knight. (And he sang my favorite verse). At about 9:45 or so the feed went down. (I am a Live365 VIP User). Sigh.

Hopefully it will be up in the morning.

Are requests disabled for the Christmas season?

What a great success our Celtic Christmas 2005 broadcast has been! We hit alot of record listening numbers. On average for the past week we had between 1200 and 1500 listeners each and every day. And we actually increased our total listening hours for the month; when most broadcasts lose listeners during this time.

Thanks to all that listened and made this a great success.

Our broadcast is being returned this afternoon to our regularly schedule music programs. While we will not be rotating Christmas songs in our broadcast after today, we will keep our Christmas catalog available for requests until the 1st of January.

Thanks again everyone!
