QUOTE (MDF3530 @ Jan 29 2003, 07:30 PM) | I would love to trace my family's history but I know I'd run into a lot of dead ends. My parents don't know very much and all my grandparents are dead . In fact, the only things I know about my family history are that my great-Grandpa Maxwell was adopted, my great-Grandma Maxwell's maiden name was McLoughlin, and my family name was originally Fangmann. Oh well. |
Genealogy has been a blast for me to do. There's a lot of Irish in my family, from many sides too! I've run into a few stumpers in my research with my Dad's family, but I'll get over them eventually. I've even hooked up with some distant relatives that my Dad didn't know! His family wasn't close at all. Seems they were always at odds. I love my Irish heritage though! Someday I'm going to get a chance to come over there and spend a few weeks immersed in Ireland's culture. I can hardly wait!!! |
