Hi there
An acquaintance is looking for a song she heard. Thinks it is called "The Dragon" and was played by a (presumably Celtic) band from Bonn, Germany. I'm not scaring it out of Google very easily.

Thanks,
Denno

Doesn't sound familiar. Know any more about it? Any lyrics from it or anything?

Nowt, I'm afraid. Her interest is dancing, so I dunno if it mightn't be an instrumental.

Bonn, Germany, I take it, does not instantly suggest some obvious band?

Right off I can't think of a Celtic group out of Germany. There may be someone I'm missing or something but I'm not aware of any personally. The closest I'm aware of is Smoky Finish and the Stationary Willberries. Neither of which are from Germany (Smoky Finish is out of Austria and I'm pretty sure Manxman is Swiss)

Just starting to Google for German Celtic groups:

Reynardyne

http://www.reynardyne.de/

Bardic

Bardic (Tunes and Tales from a German duo. Traditional and modern folk music)
http://www.musicinscotland.com/Artist_Links.htm didn't have a link, just mention

The Marginal Prophets

http://marginalprophets.net
(note, there is also a California based Grunge/Punk band by this name)

http://www.aberlours.de

http://www.achill-sound.de

http://www.ancatdubh.de

Not sure any of these are who you're looking for, and I didn't dig enough to see if any were actually based out of Bonn or had a title themed similar to what you describe

This list may have more: http://www.liveirishmusic.com/Entertainers.htm

That's from the following Google search:

Well, that'll give me some things to research!
Thanks for all the ideas.
Any other mavens-of-all-knowledge to ask, or are they all on this forum anyway?

The most knowledgeable folks on this matter that I know how to get ahold of easy all read this forum. A lot of the artists might help you cast a wider net, and might help if they can. And several artists read this forum too smile.gif
