"Irishness is not primary a question of birth or blood or language; it is the condition on being involved in the Irish situation, and usually of being mauled by it."-Conor Cruise O'Brien
$3.21 tonight in spite of little demand and falling gasoline, oil and crude prices. In the 1800's when you were about to be robbed, the thief put a bandana over his/her face so one could recognize the criminals "trade." I believe they should do the same today!
over here in Scotland our gasoline/petrol/diesel prices have just been increased. This is due to our repressive govt putting up duty on fuel from 1st january and by increasing VAT on January 4th to 20%. So a double whammy, taxed twice for the same commodity, and the Govt have the audacity to tell us that if vat did not rise then income tax would. Rather have income tax rise at least it would have kept fuel prices down. Diesel was 1.28 a LITRE that is equal to £5.63 per gallon. Equivalant to $3.41 per gallon approx.Only way to stabilse prices is for everyone to stop using the car for a week and stop buying fuel, you would soon see something done about prices.

Last week, I was taking my car in Kankakee, which is about 30 miles south of me (the guy does good work at a decent price, unlike some of the clowns around me). On my way home, I stopped and topped off my tank. It was about $3.25 down there. Up here, it's about $3.39 last I looked.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
At the cheap, self-service stations near me, prices for a litre of unleaded fuel are around €1.52, so around $2.07. Per gallon, that would be about € 5.76, or $7.86

Tact? What good in tact? I've tried that on people, and they still don't do what I want!
