The president is now asking for $87 billion dollars of your tax money to pay for the rebuilding of Iraq and Afganastan. How many of you didn't want the war in the first place and why should we now have to pay for the clean up of the war when Congress never issues a Congressionally required Declaration of War as required by the US Constitution Article 1 Section 8 Clause 11. Bush wanted this war why isn't he paying for it besides the US Constitution also states in Clause 1 of Section 8 that tax dollars are to be used for defense. No one has ever shown me the section which says they can use tax dollars for offense. unsure.gif

For those who haven't seen this yet Bush now wants to just give away this money and not expect it to be paid back like common sense would dictate

QUOTE
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Bush administration threatened for the first time Tuesday to veto an $87 billion package for Iraq and Afghanistan if Congress converts any Iraqi rebuilding money into loans.
