I had a "discussion" with a corporate officer of a chain of service stations. He admitted that they price in each market at what it will bear. He didn't know the price of gasoline at the station we were in. He was a nickle too low. He also admitted that they were selling the "same" gasoline for 30 cents less near their corporate headquarters. He kept telling me though that they were not making any money. I was polite but blunt.
