Bush (NOT George) got lighter treatment and you can decide why. Glen and McCain ALSO got lighter treatment. (could their famous military records have come into play?) In Ohio, they think so! McCain took 200 thousand dollars (adjusted to todays standards) and at least two trips. It was noted that it had been hard to determine how much help either had provided Keating. Today Alaska's Stevens is likely to go to prison for 250 thousand dollars in fees and services. I do not know that they have proven nearly as much damage to the welfare of Americans by Stevens actions as happened with the S&L scandal. In politics, staying out of prison for misdeeds is more related to powerful contacts than innocence!
That is why I feel this strongly about the issue!

The "Keating Five" included McCain and a Bush!
