I was wondering if anyoen caught the iron Age program the BBC had on last February?
17 volunteers had to "rough" it and live life as the Iron Age celts did.
This was the most awesome program I have ever seen. I stayed awake until 5 am to watch it in its entirety. I so much wanted to join them in their quest.
Everything they did is just too indepth and numerous to mention in one little post, but I did find a website for it on the BBC.
Surviving the Iron Age - BBC

I recommend everyone to get the BBC channel!! They did have a contest, but I think everyone won. Living the middle ages for 2-4 weeks at a time, I know how they feel when the finally had to return home. I could never imagine how rough it really was for our ancestors.

I’ve wanted to see a program like this for a long time. I remember there was a similar program on PBS about a family that had to live in a 17th century house and could not leave the grounds for a month. They needed to live their lives the same way a family would live in the 17th century. No TV, radio, video games, phone, electricity, etc. Problem was they had a few teenagers too and I believe that they had to cut short their time travel trip!
