This is one of the best websites I have ever seen, and can definitely help you. I recommend exploring this website some.

Do you feel it is appropriate for your deity to remain secret for your practices to be effective?

Again another point of confusion of what I have "heard". Several Wiccans I have talked to have said that in order to increase your true power that your deities should remain a secret. This bothers me cause I have never been ashamed to share what knowledge or Deity information and how they have helped me at anytime.

I think that practice is a little silly m'self. Maybe it is due to being "closeted" in keeping that covens beliefs/practices secret. Who knows!* shrug*

I too have mixed feelings about all gods being one diff names etc..... maybe.... I agree with more, that most religious paths travel the same direction. I think it is really a matter of how your mind works. I know many of us are very creative in this forum. And there fore maybe all of those dieties are there for us to embrace sepratlely. Or, possibly different guises(sp) of the one entity. Who knows really!? And does it matter?
I personally like the thought of many god/desses it just fits my mind... they all lead to the same place. right?

This is hard to discuss in writing... my brain is moving to fast..... Ah! i wish we all lived near one another so we could bet a pint or six and talk about this.....

When one considers all that was, all that is , and all that can be it seems a little silly to place a name on it! Mankind has this tendancy to want to place a name or human attributes on/to the grandness of existence.

We are all one with everything that ever was and ever will be, it is all in how we use the knowledge to progress our lives in the plains of existence that will get us to our final destination.

In other words: Gods are of man and men are of the gods. Without one the other would not exist.

Ok, now this makes a lot more sense. Sounds like you are at least a solitary.

Have you read any of Scott Cunningham's books?

Lemme see if I can find some links to some helpful websites.

Auntie,
I am a solitary only because I don't know about any Dragon Magic covens. I live in a house that is over 100 years old, Crimson (My Daughter) is a Solitary and Raven Whitefang is a Solitary too. Both of whom reside in my home. Raven is more Asatru then Wiccan, Crimson I don't know what she is, she hasn't chosen either.
I have several of Scott Cunninhams books, I find though that for some reason I get board easily with his books. I have a full book case of books on this subject and find that unless it is about Dragons and Dragon magic, or celtic I wind up more confuzzled then before. This bothers me because I am an 8th Generation Witch. But this came from my Fathers side and he was Italian, I am a Straga according to my eldest sister who is also a Straga.
There are very very few Books on Dragon Magic and nothing on Dragon Deities or even those related to them.
Is there a better way for me to do this?
Am I missing the point here?
Thanks for the websites, they have helped a bit. If nothing else it helped me see that I am a Witch and not a Wiccan. Although I thought they were pretty close to being the same. I thought the basic belief system between the two was the same, I was way off base according to the website you gave me Auntie.
I am still researching this. Many Many Hugs

Kinda hard since I am the farthest away from all of you. I guess what I am asking is, Can I worship all the deities that I feel comphy with or do I HAVE to chose? I am not one for being bound by limitations. I hate it with everything in me but that is my Aquarian nature. I'm a free spirit and will do what ever I must to remain so. This is one reason why I find Marriage and Family difficult. (don't get me wrong, I love my family more then I thought I could. I am very dedicated to them.)

I'm also not one tokeep things hidden. I personally don't care who knows. I am what I am and I am proud of it. Why the hell should I hide it?

Cheers to you all beer_mug.gif

I know a few who would argue that point with you But, since I am not one of them I will not nor see the need for it. You make a good point, My point is that I am tired of being confuzzled. I live by the old addage .."Keep It Simple Stupid!"

That is what makes my life easiest.

In the religion of "Mary", you can w0rship whomever you want to worship. If it is what is right to you, then by all means worship them. smile.gif

I know this sounds a bit contradictoray since I am a Christian that dabbles in the wiccan way of life, but I ran across a website that might at least give you a bit of encouragement, if not answers. The website is www.lunarmonthly.com but this is an archived story... Its sort of saying your goddess might not have a name, but she is there, and she knows who she is, and will eventually show herself. Anything spiritual is not a short term thing, its a lifetime of learning.

I don't really worship them, but I am connected to Isis, Rhiannon, Horus, Loki, and Kali.

BTW - I don't mind you calling me auntie, but you may have a problem calling someone who is only 25 auntie. tongue.gif

LOL, Nope,my Best Friend (Raven Whitefang) is almost 10 years my junior ! She is 25 also, Go figure that. I had to wait for her to be born!!!

So it is ok to have deities that you are connected to from several different ummm......regions???
