THE PROMISE by Eamon Ireland and Paul Dunn Music was released in September 2012, the album songs all featured the golden voice of Eamon Ireland. "The Promise" was the first song Eamon and Paul wrote together, Paul composed the music fully intending it to be an instrumental, then decided to send his work on to Eamon to see if it would work with lyrics. Eamon spontaneously wrote the lyrics in reaction to the music and within a couple of hours the first vocal track had been laid. The beautiful way Eamon performs the song tugs on the heart strings, making the lyrics open to the interpretation of those who hear it.
