Beware any E-mail that claims to come from paypal entitled "Confirm your Information" I've been recieving forged mails that take you to http: // 210.78.22.113 / verify.html and asks for all sorts of information.

Do not, I repeat do not enter any information in this form. would do well to delete the mail

edit note: corrected thge actual subject line of the Email...

I've seen this one in my "Deleted Items" folder.

Here's a useful URL:

snopes.com-PayPal

I believe that other online enterprises, such as AOL, eBay, MSN and Amazon have also had their names attached to emails of this ilk.

The people who create these viruses rely on P.T. Barnum's theory of the astounding birthrate of stupid people. Most online enterprises have in their TOS Agreement that no member of their staff will ever ask for personal information like addresses, credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, etc.

ON a lighter note about this same subject, a couple of weeks ago, a comic strip called Edge City ran a very funny series of strips about identity theft. I wish I could point you to a website, but it's not listed on either Comics.com or uComics.com.

I've been receiving them with Earthlink's name attached to it. And since I'm an Earthlink subscriber you have to PAY ATTENTION and not simply sign away your identity. The hackers are very clever people.
