We're very much taken with our girl, Holly. She's an English Shepherd (relaxed cousin of Border Collies and Australian Shepherds). They're so smart, very family-oriented, kid-friendly, playful but not hyper, herders by nature, routine-oriented, go-everywhere-with-you dogs......I could go on, and on!

Stoirmeil, they're right up your alley!

The website is great - http://www.englishshepherd.org/ - for anyone interested laugh.gif

At the moment we donít have a dog, since we had to put Hudson down at the age of fifteen, which was some time ago. Hudson was a mixed breed, that we lovingly called Lab Bull, because he was a beautiful blend of Black Lab, and either Bull Mastiff, or Pit Bull. We found him at the animal shelter, where he stud out like a sore thumb. Before Hudson we lived with Mr. Duffy, an Irish setter, and before him there was Rex and his mother Whitie, both Fox Terriers, all great dogs that we miss dearly. Lately weíve been thinking about getting a Jack Russell, but I canít imagine any dog that could top Hudson.

My first and fav was a beagle. He was a good quiet dog rarely barked. Growled at the window but that was it. Also had a schuanzer and another beagle after that. Marriage of course changes everything.
We had the Cocker Spaniel for a long time and still have a Chinese Shar Pei but my wife had gone completely insane for dachshunds in the last couple years. We have three of them now. William (Willie) and Dart (D'Artagnan) are the boys and Darts sister Coco
