Bardy,
I read your latest one the same day you posted it and it left me speechless. It has been on my mind ever since. You have given insight to something most if not all of us wonder about. You left me astounded, my heart was breaking for this person. The pure frustration at not being able to communicate when they wished to must have been hell. Thank you for bringing this here. It is truly a work of Art.

How do we forgive those that have caused us so much pain?
Do we forgive them in this life, or the next?
Will they ever know the overwhelming desperation and lonliness?
Or have to pick up the pieces of their broken heart, like the hundereds of shardes of a broken mirror?
How do we forgive those that have caused us this pain?
When all we gave was love....

This was written right after the end of my first marriage....

Applied then.... Not now... Much happier NOW! As those that know me already know wink.gif
Stumbled across it.... thought I would post it since I hadn't seen it in a few years.....

I've read this one many, many times since it had been posted - to tell the truth, I already do know it by heart!

It's beautiful! I echo every single letter, really; this is what one is going through...

All is MUCH better now, for you, for me as well ...thank you so much for sharing smile.gif !

Thank you *SO* much for the kind words.....
That was a very, very hard time to live through....Sometimes I didn't think I would ever get out of the downward spiral..... But out of no where..... I seemed to make it to the end of it....
And I am better off having gone through it. It sucked, it was painful... but i wouldn't change a thing...

Thank you again, for the kind words.. this twice this morning I have gotten a big smile from friends here... Thanks for making my day a wee bit more cheerful! smile.gif

Hey old fool, I haven't been on here for a while. You've been busy. Awesome work, man, you're making me envious. The one about the coma, one does wonder what it is like, how much is percieved.

But the last one really got me.
"Or have to pick up the pieces of their broken heart, like the hundereds of shardes of a broken mirror?"

Even when those shards are glued back together, all of the pieces are never found. There remains forever those tiny empty places that nothing, not even time, can ever fill. Shattered, broken pieces of a mirror when all we gave was love. Yep. Most definately been there.

Alright, already give me something happy! sad.gif

Ok.. something happier..
This is 100% making it up as I write it! So if it sucks sorry.... I had the idea .. and now I'm am going to see where it takes us....

Go to sleep m'little one
Now hush and close yer eyes
Daddy's going to sing to you
a pretty lullaby
I'll sing about for off lands
and castles in the sky
I'll sing a song of love that will stand the test of time

Ah, lalah, lala lala, Ah la lah lalah
Ah, lalah, lala lala, Ah la lah lalah

I see you layin' watchin me
holdin' up yer eyes
it's time for you to go to sleep
While I sing yer lullaby
I'll see you in the mornin'
I say as you rub your eyes
Drift into the faerie lands
like stories that I've told
Run, and fly and laugh and play
to wake to sunshine day

Ah, lalah, lala lala, Ah la lah lalah
Ah, lalah, lala lala, Ah la lah lalah

I sit and watch you as you drift
Into a peaceful sleep
And wonder what I did
To deserve a gift like this
I'll sing a song for you until I'm old and grey
I'll sing a song of love for you
Until your grown and moved away

Ah, lalah, lala lala, Ah la lah lalah
Ah, lalah, lala lala, Ah la lah lalah

(Don't be too mean.....)

I agree...Jason the song is sweet. Do you have children by the way? As I was reading it, I felt you were singing it to your son or daughter.

Keep them coming!!

Beautiful Jason. Brought tears to my eyes. And lullabyes can be sung to adults too.

I'm with you, Elspeth! I also had a tear in my eyes. It reminds me so much of the time when my sons were babies and how deep a parent's love for the wee owns is...

It's so beautiful, barddas, thank you! smile.gif

Symphony of night

Perched high above the land
By darkness of new moon light
The air fills with songs of the night
Chips and squawks, flutters and flips
A song that has been sung since the dawn of time
Through the music comes a simple lyric
Sung over and over
A question
To which nothing replies
Then A careless percussive crack!
Singles out this one tonight
And answers the question tonight
Soaring on silent wings
a spector of the night
And now another becomes victim to the night
Still the music carries on
And the song sung again
