I was listening to CBC Radio, and heard about this site. It's a free online Encyclopedia. The great thing about it, is if you find an error or want to add more information, YOU can edit it. I've only quickly looked it over, but it does seem quite useful.

I like wikipedia. Another you may want to check out is ibiblio, the public's library and digital archive. It is a collabotation of the Center for the Public Domain and UNC-CH.

The wikipedia is a fine resource, but it is not perfect. There are a lot of subjects where opinion and rumor is presented as fact. Be sure to find alternate sources for any, especially esoteric, info you find on the wikipedia.
