Description

Travel back to Romantic 14th century England for a weekend of mirth, merriment, and wonder.

Meet Edward, the Black Prince of Wales and Aquitaine. Thrill to the FULL IMPACT JOUST (the ONLY one in Wisconsin!)! Witness a REAL Western Martial Arts sword tournament. Laugh, sing, and cry at the antics of period performers. And enjoy period food, drink, and merchandise from our food vendors and artisans.

I have a place. . .
a place I go. . .
a place I seek . . .
and to where I travel in my mind
Where a stream falls hundreds of feet, over a cliff.
At the base, I am... in a small glen, through which the stream laughs and giggles
as it joyously runs off into the enchanted woods around me.
The sun is bright, with the trees breaking it's light and making thousands of jovial little patterns on everything in sight. . . Moving, ever moving...
I'm sitting on a rock by the stream, dangling my fingertips in the cool, clear water.
All the while, listening to the sound of the waterfall, the brook, and the birds that are all around.
I close my eyes, and lean my head back, loving this place, this day... in all its glory.

I go there in my mind when I really want to escape this world. The waterfall tends to quickly drown out the noise of the real world

Time to spare, in good health, don't have kids anyway, money in the sporran.........
.......... I'd immediately pop off to "the misty Isle" for walking and after that let my eyes wander over the sea though the window of the shelterpub in Ardvasar, while listening to the music and stories of the guests. Ardvasar Hotel& pub and Skye...... pure magic.

Happy place... makes me think of Happy Gilmore... he he/

Ok but my happy place. I have two.

The first is on top of the highest Sand Dune overlooking lake Michigan. There are a few trees there so if it's too hot there is always shade. You can hear the waves of the lake. The sky is so close because you're so high up. The breeze rustles through the trees and the birds chirp beautiful music. I love climbing the sand dune and just sitting at the top overlooking the beach and thinking about nothing. Worrying about nothing. Doing nothing. Just being alive is enough.

My second happy place is also on a beach. But it's in Ireland. The beach at Rossbeigh in Killorglin, County Kerry. It is on the other side of Dingle Bay. You can see far out into the ocean and on a clear day you can watch the dolphins. When I went to Rossbeigh, it was the first time I saw the ocean. It's a smaller beach with a nice fishing town next to it. It's not a big tourist spot. It was sooooo beautiful and peaceful. Thinking about it makes me sad, I want to go back so bad...I did not mean for that to rhyme. haha!

Sigh, happy place...

There's a dear little plant that grows in our Isle
Twas St . Patrick himself, sure, that set it;
And the sun of his labour with pleasure did smile,
And with dew from his eye often wet it.
It grows through the bog, through the brake, through the
Mireland, and they call it the dear little shamrock of Ireland.
