A solitaire junky

I must have a fix

Starts much like a diet

One donut won’t miss

Three cards at a time

I’ll turn till I win

The track marks you’ll find

Left on my behind

So shuffle the deck

And play one more time

Have nothing to loose

Except precocious time

The symptoms the same

As substance abuse

My pupil’s dilate

From playing too late

But one of these days

I’ll play the cards out

From under my skin

Can’t say without doubt

It's a hard fact of dependence of any kind here that you describe in your poem John. And unfortunately the poor reality of our world.
Deep poem indeed.

Thanks LOA
