Hi Group

I don't ever do this but had to share this program with you. I for one use yahoo for a lot of my surfing and they have become abusive with pop up ads and such over the last 6 months so I have been trying to find a decent pop up killer which allows you to filter the sites you want to block and those you don't and I think I found a good program this morning. It allows you to not block sites like this one which just uses pop ups for special announcements and playlists and such yet allows you to block those annoying ads that pop up everywhere on the internet. To unblock a site such as this one just load the page then right click and select allow this sites pop ups. This will allow them and not block them yet you can surf in peace. This is a link to their site they offer a free 15 day trial and it's $19.95 USD after that but so far I am going to buy this after the 15 days unless someting goes really wrong but so far I have had no pop ups except those I have allowed and is really peaceful once again to surf the net :D

Check it out if you hate pop ups. If you have questions on unblocking sites like Highlander Radio just mail me or post reply is simple to set the program to ignore this site and others from being blocked so you can still get their special announcements or other important pop ups yet surf in peace and quiet. Don't know about any of you but don't have the time to spend closing a gazillion pop up ads. :{

Just wanted to comment on this one. Our plans will never include these pop-up advertisements.

The only pop ups that we have are actually Live365's for the Live365 player. Now, you can get around this by using the Real Audio player which connects to Live365 but does not display popups. This is because of the type of account we have with Live365.

We do have plans to have a type of pop-up box come this winter which will be for CD contests. Basically when you come to the site, a box will pop up and ask you if you would like to particapte in the contest. If you answer yes or no the pop-up box will not display again until the next contest.

So just keep that in mind when using pop-up blocking software!  ;)

JUst to help with this issue. This software so far after a week or so of testing has been working fine. Blocks most pop ups and if you do get one you can just right click on the pop up screen and select always block this pop up to block it in the future. Also you can exclude sites from the filter so in the case of this website just load it's main page and then right click and select allow pop ups on this site and it will always allow Highlander Radio's pop ups with important announcements and such. So this is really easy to get the pop ups you want and exclude the rest of the trash  :D

Yes, this does sound good! I know my wife has been looking for one of these pop up blockers.

I know that some other radio sites have a bunch of pop-up ads not related to the site, probably to generate some sort of revenue, but it is more important, in my mind, to have an enjoyable experience for the visitor, rather than trying to play space invaders with pop up windows!

:)D

Well that's why I shared this program while not free (for continued use) it's not to expensive and seems to do the job right. Allows good sites like this and Alexandra's to have the pop ups they use for announcements while allowing you to surf in peace and quiet on the rest of the web.

Now how about a good E-Mail filter  ;)
