Just wanted to know if everyone believes in the fae and if they incorporate them into their magick, workings, life, ritual, etc. etc.
Also, I think it would be cool for you to post any interesting stories you have involving them.

Not directly involving the fae...but one time during an esbat ritual, me and my friend accidentally danced on the fae cakes...and then it started raining. hahah. it was good times.

If we could just stand here, without the words, would that be enough? ..Look at the sky now. What color is it? Or the way a hawk flies. Or you wake up and your ribs are bruised thinking so hard on somebody. What do you call that?

I tend to believe in them. I don't incorporate them in anything butI have a multutude of friends that do. A few are so close to the fae they should be fae themselves...

well, where to begin, the fae have been important threads in all celtic myths. Pretty sure even Queen Maeb was one herself.
They live on the astral plane along with all other supernatural entitys and someones they can come through when the veil is open. Or if we *invite* them so our ritual. Fae can be faerys, mermaids, dryads, etc etc, even vampires and werewolves are considered fae in some beliefs. There can be bad fae also that like to drain psyhcic engery...like incubuses and succubuses and what not. But for the most part all fae are happy to 'play' with you should I say.
They love the tease the ones who walk the plane where everything is real. For instance, have you ever put something somewhere, left, come back and it's gone--only to find moments later that it has reappeared again? Yep...it's them.
I had a friend of mine tell me once that if you feel strongly connected to the faery that you probably have faery blood some way down the line. I find that pretty interesting.

Hope that informed you..

I was told by one of my great grandparents that we have Fae blood in our veins. The only way I've seen it is a sensitivity to people's emotions and dreams. It can be very startling sometimes to be off in your own world, and then feel as though something drastic has happened and not know where the feeling has come from. Usually though, I have to be very closly connected to the person to get hit that hard by their feelings.

There is a girl (woman) that I know that who when you look at her, you just know that there is something special about her. Not just her cute demeanor, or the fact of the matter that her job is a fae at a ren faire, but you see her and you just know. I really just wrote it off as being cute, that was until I was coming from my blacksmith shop. I saw her and gave her a hug, and she nearly had a panic attack...I then realized the lore that some fae have an allergy or whatever against iron. Like the belief of silver with lycanthropy and others. I don't know if the truth be it that she is fae or justs really thinks she is....either way it was an odd experience that convinced me more that she was.

Religiousy I'm kinda not permitted to believe in them....:nervous laugh:: BUT... I love them anyway. When i comes to things like fairys and fantasy I don't nessecarily believe in them, but I love the fact that I can imagine a world full of them. I love "leaving" reality and just being in a whole different world of adventure and magic and fairies...sigh.... I also get really good movie ideas through my daydreaming. I do love them. But just in case there are real fairies I think I'll watch what I say and not make any of them drop dead...like in Peter Pan. Anyway, as you can all see by my title and Avatar I love all things fantasy: dragons, fairies, castles, knights in shining armour, elves, etc.!!!!!!!

There's a dear little plant that grows in our Isle
Twas St . Patrick himself, sure, that set it;
And the sun of his labour with pleasure did smile,
And with dew from his eye often wet it.
It grows through the bog, through the brake, through the
Mireland, and they call it the dear little shamrock of Ireland.

I don't know if this goes under the heading of faeries or random spirit take-over. I was drumming around a circle once, and there were people singing to my beats. As I and my woman continued to listen to the voices as we drummed the tune...I swore that I heard what sounded like several distinct voices, yet everytime that I looked over there were only 3 people. After the song ended my woman turned to me and asked if I was singing, I said no. She wasn't singing, and the singers asked us if we were singing too. We all heard different voices singing with us, and there were only 3 people singing as I stated before....the rest of the encampment was about 100 ft away. We all swore that the spirits of the forest near the fire enjoyed the song and the drumming so much that they decided to join in.
