Just was curious as to what people are requesting and what they like as their favorite songs! I have a ton, but my most favorite are the following:

Courtyard Lullaby by Loreena McKinnett
Drunken Piper by Natalie MacMasters!
The Mummer's Dance by Loreena McKinnett
Claire's Heaven by Capercaillie
Morrigan by Barrdas
The Conjuring by Barrdas

I got lots more, just can't remember them right now, will be back! rolleyes.gif smile.gif

Hey! Raven! You had a good point so I changed the title to "songs," multiple choice!

My absolute favorite though is The Mummer's Dance by Loreena McKinnett.

Lots of 'em, but I request "Ballad of Tam Lin" a lot because I don't seem to be get it on CD and I really like it.

--------------------
Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the hand on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?
They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow
Who shall gather the smoke of the dead wood burning
Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?

Also I discovered this band from this song contest I am helping to judge called Jigsaw. They have some really cool stuff if you ever run across them.

Really they should market their CD in a steamin sack tongue.gif

OMG I have just become enthralled by possibly the best rendition of Loch Lommond that I have ever heard.

By a north Georgia band Emerald Rose.

My review is that this is definitely a must listen.

I just requested it and I saw that it had a very low rating for some reason. I actually was trying to narrow down some music in the contest I am helping with and I actually stopped to see who this was and recognized their name from CRN.

I would venture to guess that I am listening to as much Celtic music as a human can at this point as I have been working with this contest non stop for about 4-5 months and I started with 200 CDs.

Plus I listen to CRN everyday all day at work and sometimes at home just to be able to listen for pleasure.

This version is very creative and well done!!!

They deserve a great rating for this song.
