A place to post about one of the two "big ones" in the US with Texas being the other. We go every year if possible. Its big enough to fit our towns main street on and the number of merchants and acts are amazing. A must see for rennies.

Another dull and boring weekend made wild and crazy be a ren faire. Went down to Mn this weekend and spent one day shopping an done at the ren faire. Picked up the new Loreena McKennitt CD/DVD and "The Wind that Shakes the Barley" DVD. Watching them is still on my to do list. Weather was beautiful and my old route through Minneapolis was still hassle free. No bridges down thank God. MN Ren faire has new stuff this year including a Hookah Bar, a King's Dungeon, and Italian music and Opera. It was the Italian festival this weekend and granndaughters forst ren faire. Next week is Chocolate, Wine, and Romance. Plus the Ded Bob show which I was very bummed out at missing but i still managed to catch the Tortuga Twins. I've been wanting to see Ded Bob for years but it looks like I will have to wait one more year. I had my kilt on and I was amazed at how many people reconize a tartan. Spent a few more hours shopping at Target and some other stores (in kilt) before finally heading for the drudgery of home and work.

I so hope I win the lottery. This weekend was just too much fun.

Thanks for posting this Robert Phoenix. It is bringing back so many memories. I loved it. This was the first Reb Faire I had ever been to other than the Colorado Ren Faire. It's a great Faire also.

I am so full of envy you found The Wind...I went to one of the bigger cities here and they said another two weeks..patience I keep telling myself. I am so glad you got back and with no troubles. The bridge disaster was awful.

I found Wind" at Barnes & Noble. Borders had a exclusive Lorena McKennett CD along with the new release but they were sold out at the store I was at.

Thanks Robert Phoenix. I guess I am going to have to go on line to get it. Wish I had a Barnes & Noble. Thanks again for the information.
