Hey guys, I just thought I would start this thread 'cause, well, like you know, us guys got things to talk about that chicks don't freakin' understand, know what I mean?

So, if anything comes up that is just, you know, guy talk, just come on in and lay it out here. I ain't exactly the sensitive caring type myself, so you might keep that in mind, but aside from thooose kinds of things, well, we could like, you know, talk about all kinds of stuff here. Understand?

Well, to start off with something, how do you guys handle it when the old lady starts talking about innane stuff like your family's survival and things when you're tryin' to watch TV and chug a few suds? Just curious if anyone has any useful tips.

I alway like the "Huhh?" unsure.gif

Or I will look at them and say "What did they say, I missed it while you were talking. "

They just usually go off in a huff. tongue.gif

*snickers and buggers off again.*

Men talking are great *grins* everytime Craigs best friend is up I'm sitting in the background being amused. You can't imagine how much I learn from those evenings! happy.gif

Good point Richard, I usually use the ¿Que? (She speaks spanish so it woud be a fairly rude, WHAT? in english). But sometims she persists, you know, going on about really unimportant stuff like, "You know the septic tank is full and stuff is backing up into the shower, and flooding the kids room." And it might be like the fourth quarter with maybe three minutes left in the game and here we are in the playoffs and stuff. I mean, I don't really hear her, don't get me wrong there, my female filters are workin' just fine, but you know, I mean it's kinda irritatin' in a way cause it detracts a little from watchin' the stuff on the tube. If I just come back with a sensible remark like, "Hey, guess you otta move the kids to higher ground." She gets all huffy.

And then, man alive, if I just get up and go get another beer at that point she hits the ceiling. Go figure that.

I heard it latch behind me, I just assumed that it was locked. unsure.gif

Just like a woman though, try to find out our secrets while they holler at us for giving them some insight in theirs. Go figure. kwasny.gif

Well, buddy, don't worry about it none. Here, we'll just have to bring in the secret defense screen. That always gets 'em. (pulling a cheap cigar from pocket and lighting up)

Here, want one of these?

Hey, get this, what about the way that you'll be all dressed to go somewhere and she will look at you funny and say, "You aren't going like that are you?" I mean come on, am I supposed to be uncomfortable when we go out or what? It's as if she thinks I ain't got a lick of fashion sense at all. Hey, at least I buy my boots big enough to fit my feet, know what I mean?

I guess I am just to House Broke. I still get the LOOK though if I pick out a Shirt that she does fit the theme. I just tell her that I didn't know we were going to a Costume Party. wink.gif

I alway try to dress nice even when I am home alone. You never know who is going to come to the door.

Correct. Lots of times we don't even communicate with words, just one sylable grunts and body language are enough. With an occasional belch or, well you know.
