Welcome aboard Tassiecelt! How are things at the "bottom" of the world? And how do all you guys down there successfully wear kilts, since you're standing upside down? Glad you joined and hope you enjoy yourself.

thank you all for the warm welcome, I found this site through Jimmy, a kiltmaker in the US, he and I frequent Xmarksthescot.com, they have a forum for news about celtic music.
celtica, those are nice photos, I'm familiar with most of them, I've been in Tasmania for nearly 30 years now since coming out from England.
It is a beautiful place, lots of natural beauty, but lacking in celtic culture, so I'm doing my bit to address that!
Apart from the live radio broadcast, I'm VP of our local Pipe Band and run a group called Bravehearts Tasmania (not too original i know), a social group to promote the kilt as a wonderful male garment. I share the same quest as does Bear Kilts, a sponsor here. I also help organise and promote celtic events such as ceilidhs etc in Northern Tasmania and I'm a keen student of Celtic Christianity.
So there, that's me, in a nutshell.
I'm gradually finding my way around this site, it's very big

Hi, Tassiecelt. Welcome to the family. Glad you found our friendly celtic site! As you can see, it is filled with some of the best music and people online! Good to know that you are spreading celtic music and the culture to all your countrymen "down under"
Australia is on the top of my hubby's dream list of places to visit. Someday.........
