Compassion is the sometimes fatal capacity for feeling what it is like inside somebody else's skin. It is the knowledge that there can never really be any peace and joy for me until there is peace and joy finally for you too. - Frederick Buechner
If society prospers at the expense of the intangibles, how can it be called progress?
Elspeth! I love your new avatar! I loved the very first one too, but I know there comes a time when we need a change. This is very nice. I can visualize her standing by the edge of the ship sailing in the wind and her mind swirling with thoughts of the past with hope for a new future. Sigh....

I thought you'd like this one. What a nice way of putting what is in her head. I liked the depth of expression I read in her eyes.
I like it much better only seeing her face than I do in the entire painting. Botticelli just seemed to have given her a form that didn't go with the face, and was more a female-ized man than a woman.
I DID IT. I DID IT. I changed my avatar... tell me what u think about it...
See you up the roads
Looks like a bull that came straight out of Jim Hensons' imagniation.
I like it.

"I am a Canadian by birth, but I am a Highlander by blood and feel under an obligation to do all I can for the sake of the Highlanders and their literature.... I have never yet spoken a word of English to any of my children. They can speak as much English as they like to others, but when they talk to me they have to talk in Gaelic."
