Ahoi from a long time absentee cool.gif enjoying a short listening in while equally visiting shortly my dear lad to help him cleaning before selling his house here in bicester (he will move very shortly up to the Isle of Skye laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif I just heard a tune called "The crofter 's song" contained in a bagpipe medley. I happened to hear it several times on Cuillin FM in the last few weeks, sung by Christine MacDonald in the late fifties and recorded at the time. Unfortunately I didn't see it your excellent database, Paul and I know you would love it here hehe wink.gif biggrin.gif I wonder whether ye could find and add it somehow onto your playlist. It's very tongue in cheek and funny, excellently sung and in the tradition of the Corries "Portree Kid". Could ye do me this favour pleeaaase? thumbs_up.gif walkman.gif

I was going to check them out, but the sound files on their site got rough playing overtop pf Jodee James, so I left the site. A Google search for that song title doesn't turn up much.
