Hi, Eren and all other Celts/Celt lovers from this Texas girl.
I am working on my genealogy. Granddaddy Bryan always said his ancestors came from Ireland to America bringing their farming tools with them. It's been a trip, but I've got everybody back to the landing except for one small thing...the first Bryan(s) were younger son(s) of William Marquis of Ulster, Ireland. I have not been able to get documentation on this guy, nor his sons. I can't even figure out if Ulster is all Northern Ireland or just a county. I would appreciate someone explaining to me how someone can be born in Down, Clare, Ireland and be from Ulster, too. I'm confused!

Hello and welcome from Canada ronaowen46,
You've found the greatest place here and the best crowd on the net.

Ulster is not Northern Ireland it's one of the 4 provinces of Ireland.
There are 9 counties in N.I.and 3 are part of the Republic
Down is one of Northern Ireland's county and Clare is one the counties of the Republic. If you want more info you can type Ulster on google and it'll bring you to Wikipedia. Hope it helps.LOA
