I was just wondering what you are all afraid of...

I don't like thunderstorms no.gif . If the ancient Greeks and Romans were right, I don't like it at all when the gods are bowling fear.gif . Heights are a close second though. I like to have my feet on the ground.

It's heights, but with a weird twist. Put me on a flight at 35,000 feet and I'm good. Put me on a roof and I'm liable to wet. Go figure.

Mine is water.I really have no logical explination, but I get so nervous in water. If I can see and touch the bottom of a pool I'm not bad. A lake or other body of water that is murky and feels wierd onthe bottom, no way! I can't stand to have my head or face in the water either. Maybe I drowned in a past life wink.gif

Well, I have to admit the first thing that came to mind was: Alan Keyes, a conservative "professional politician" who ran for Senate last year in Illinois He's just so, so scary. Yet, funny is a sort of sad, hypocritical kind of way.

Second place is definitely spiders tho. I'm allergic to them.

I'm afraid, irrationally afraid, of the deep sea -- mostly the Pacific. I wouldn't even go to Hawaii! Too much ocean, not enough land. I also have a silly fear -- thick staples when people pull them out and they go flying. shocking.gif

I don't like thunderstorms....got stuck in a bad one years ago, and it was awful...bad summer, that was...
Claustrophobic fears come into play for me sometimes, when ther are too many pple in one place,or I can't see the exit to get out!!(Inherited, that one is!!)
another that I have is kinda wierd....I love trains, but I don't like going over or under them through or over a bridge!! DON'T KNOW WHERE THAT CAME FROM!!

Okay so I don't like all the creepy crawlies....even the thought of spiders or even ants gives me the shivers. Blech. So they would be the top of the list. Close second though is a fear of failure. I hate failing...I want things to be right the first time. I am a control freak (there I said it tongue.gif ). It's my personality and there's nothing I can do about it. I fail all the time, and it's hard...it's hard to wrap my brain around it sometimes because I really thought it was going to work.

so there....I can be just as neurotic as the rest.

Took failure as my first choice which I see is tied with Thunderstorms-interesting from a psychology point of view -I blame high school for the failure thing-gym class. LOL. Actually for me it would have to be noticiable failure like when you run into the closed glass door in front of everybody. Other than than only two things really bother me-crawfish-just don't like the looks of them, and being suddenly transported to the middle of Antartica with summer clothes on. Yeah, wierd but there is not much to do here in the U.P.

Well , after I read the question I really ask myself .I think fear from mother nature (like water and other)I can control myself. To finish my life alone with no child , no lover ,being completely alone , isolate and being hate by everyone is probably what I fear the most.Anyway by definition a fear is not a logical thing and I know mine is ridiculous.
