Rofl!! i played realm on a p-166 for 4 years(on dailup!!) and found every tweak and third party software there was till i got cable ...then had to find third party software to tweak the 200kbs/ to 1.5 mbs....even though my isp swears they upgraded there severs to 3.0mbs...(shakes head) 
Just remeber to reset all the jumpers on your hardware to master prior to adding anything else.. (add a cd-burner in an empty slot /w a cd-rom ya need to change the burner over to slave/master as compared to cable ...set by default via Dell...provided ya have only 2 IDE plugs on the motherboard and are running both off a dual cable
onboard should be just no-existent...its a lag eating monster....if you have the agp/pci slots spend the couple bucks and run vid/sound off of those

*trains that insist on back up/then going forward,then backing up...just to find when ya think its clear another train goes in the opposite direction!!

taps finger...er....yeah....my wife loves to read out loud and her scottish accent keeps my ears wanting the next sentance.....it is ironic ...i fought reading the series till i heard it read...i was engrossed on the spot, and had to know what happend next!!...My daughter (now 10) and my wife would take turns reading....both have very soft voices but hold you on every word.... i dunno what it is to see your child read a book with such conviction that you feel part of it....
once and again a word will pop up my daughter stuggles /w only to find my wife sharing the meaning and the pronunciation.....the movies themselves just for me give me insight to the true names...like how many times did you pronounce or read herminoes name different till you knew ..... (Her-my-knee).... little things like that ...

rofl! raises a glass of pinot ...not really...first thing about a puter is undo those 4 screws and look inside....follow a cable from point a to b ...when you realize that mish mash of cables and wires jumpled all over the place is just that... a simple cable.... little things to become familiar /w your computer...not just turning it on and clicking onto the net....go deeper.... look on web sites... start small...hmm tweaking a 56k modem.....i find it ridiculous that a tech charges $69-100 to format a system...ive lost count how many people ive sat down and forced to do there own...its so easy...its just software !!!
1 key piece of hardware, is a burner a must....save everything..leaving nothing to chance...once its on disk your set...problems arise ...nuke it and start fresh !!

Rofl!! yuppers fdisk is your friend....kinda dont have a choice but to go back to fat32 /w win98... had a heck of a time once using a floppy to format c: ... kinda just bumped into this way....thats where the fat32 comes in...after the partiontion is reeinstalled and before reboot toss in the xp cd(seeting the cd to boot from your bios) it comes up as a new partition that needs to be formated and do you want to "quick" or "slow" install ntfs....boom either one works and off it goes...the rest is just waiting the 20-50 minutes ..(bottle of sprits kills alot of time  )

Ok i bought a Dell first thing i did was completly strip it back down...repartitioned the harddrive and nuked all the Aol software they were so kind to install for me ...(reformated the harddrive../w the xp cd they were kind enough to send along...by the way...a bootable 98 cd will help by nuking off the ntfs and repartinoing the harddrive to fat 32..then converting to ntfs again....no lag..no spyware ...and a clean system ...and nothing but what ya want on it....after a repation tossing in the xp cd ...itll format the harddrive for you...all pretty easy really...i really wish people would lean how to do this...takes 10 minutes to learn and a lifetime to get over the fear of realizing its just SOFTWARE!...and can be replaced...)even though i was promised a clean harddrive...after that..have had no problems cause i wont let there techs touch it

Hmmmmm...... to go back to the first book...Harry being new to Hogwarts and wizardary in General,merely was brainwashed about a comment that Ron had brought up prior to the sorting hat "there isnt a student that hasnt turned bad that has not been in slytherin"
this statement i believe started a chain of events that even had the sorting hat swearing up and down the griffindor was the wrong house....
Yet as Harry grew and realized what his potential was becoming(one heck of a wizard ) His abilities as dumbldore had told him and troubled Harry, wasnt that Voldemort and him were alike ....they posessed the same skills...yet Voldemort chose a dark path....where as Harry has used his unforseen powers for good...
As you get deeper within the books you will see where Harry has many an oppurtunity to turn the skills he now has into a weapon of evil....
Yet time and time again...through blind luck or just fate...Harry outwits voldemort over/over....
Harry had the full option to side /w voldemort in "the sorcerers stone" (or philosophers stone..as the original book was titled) nothing would make him happier than to bring back his mother,father...(his first choice) think ya know the outcome of this....
see where im going 
simply put.....what seperates us from all other living things is our ability to make a "choice" ... our gift of free will

as a long time user of dialup(turned cable !!) i took time to read on tweaking my modem...and other small registry tweaks..and 3rd party software....
Hope this is ok to post mac...
speedguide.net under broadband has a small program to help tweak your dialup speed abit...tcp-optimizer.. works on cable/dsl/and dialup...or cyberwizardpit.com has an optimzer for dialup-and corrosponding o/s...
win98/dialup
winxp/dialup ect
many many web sites taking you step by step through tweaking out your modem...shutting off those uneeded programs that just add or lag down your bandwidth..
in most cases youll see greater improvment right off the bat /w out effecting your isp's software..
running through a dialup connection(the one ya make yourself) spybot is a must!
great lil program thats rids your puter of many/many unwanted and bandwith hogging spyware files
careful on this one though it will have adverse effects on some software..."gator,ect"...and some isp software..AOL and such...
but in the long turn the less trying to send out packets the better !

marinadeted some chicken in soy,garlic,shallots, for about an hour and threw the chicken in the rottis...
rice is just about done.....
hmmmm thinking on some mushrooms,brocc,and onions as a side,..bleh!...pours a glass of pinot and debates...
