Hi all! I cast my first circle today! I was so excited! I have a lot to learn though. I'm sure I did a lot of things wrong.I want to take things slowly and do it right. Let me ask maybe a silly question...is there a difference between Goddess worship and Wicca? In other words can you worship the Mother Goddess and not be a witch?

Merry Meet,
My name is Nikki and I use the name Nighthawk, and I just found this forum today. Was in a lot of forums today and was totally mesmerised by the RPG forum. I was raised Lutheran but never felt it was right for me. I have always had deja vu and have alway been drawn to the occult. I have just completed a first degree wicca class. Just thought I would introduce myself.

Hi, again, mya! You beat me to this one!

I'm a pagan, as well, and a member of a group that started out just celebrating the Sabbats. Now we meet every week, mostly for meditation, but occasionally to "work"

Hello,

I'm new. I love celtic music so I thought I'd check the forums and then I found this, so I thought I'd register!

I can't label myself as any specific religion right now. I'm spiritual. I was raised Catholic, but... you all know how that goes. I believe in God but I feel that there is more than one deity, and there must be a female to His male. I'll admit I am more conscious of the "God" I was raised with, and I think He is a good God. I am consciously being more attentive to the Goddess, though, and I believe in spirit guides/guardian angels~ whatever you want to call them.

I've been reading about "all this stuff" for a while now. But see, I have no interest in "casting a spell" or performing stereotypical magik. I would like to more clearly understand what my guides are communicating to me, to assist me in leading a fulfilling life. I feel the energy when I am outside, especially at night (and under the moon.) My dreams are odd (and vivid) and I know they have meaning that I don't quite grasp. Yeah, I'm really preoccupied with the paranormal, BTW.

Hm! This is long and ambiguous. I just feel there is more out there right beyond my grasp, and I want to know what it is, how to control what I am supposed to, if that makes any sense. I know I have power, I just don't know how to use it because I tend to doubt myself... the ole, "Oh come on- that can't be true... you're no more special than the guy next door," kinda thing.

So, I'm learning tongue.gif

Merry Meet! I hope I am posting in the right spot unsure.gif

I am new to the board and stumbled upon The Grove.

We are a pagan family....and we are raising our children pagan. The Old Religion really seem to resonate with us. We are planning a trip over seas and I was told that you can obtain a *clearance* from the British Gov't to visit Stonehendge.
Apparently if you are of the Old Religion, it is your right to visit scared areas like Stonehendge......this pass will allow you to visit the circle before the tours start (early in the morning) and you can touch the stones.

Has anyone heard of that?

If so I am going! thumbs_up.gif
