On May 17th my wife gave birth to our son. Now my daughter has a baby brother. My wife had to have emergency c-section due to prolapse cord but everything went fine. Mom and baby are home now and doing great!

I just read this post...Congratulations to you and your better-half on the birth of your wee baby son. I'm glad that both Mom and baby are fine. Isn't it wonderful to have a wee one in the house? Never a dull moment!!! My daughter and her 14 month old daughter are living with hubby and I and I can't imagine not having the little one here. She has both GrandDad and I wrapped!!! of course the other 4 gchildren do to...I can spoil them and send them home...revenge is sweet!!!
Thanks! He'll be going up to Nova Scotia in late July. He's actually named after his great great great Grandfather who was from there.
Nice! Our clan is moving into the new house July 3rd. You'll no doubt be down 'the other end', but if you pass by on the way to the island or anything our door is open. It would be nice to finally meet this Nova Scotian Floridian.
Anyway, we're in Goshen, Guysborough Co., not far from Antigonish. We could show you some great local spots or some of the beaches in St. Georges Bay. We're usually out there somewhere in nature anyway.
(we're just down the #7/316 from the 'nish on this map)
It's good to hear the little guy will be touching his northern roots so early on. Coira can't even say that. She was nearly a year old before we moved home.

Thanks for the invite. I don't think we'll be going that way this year but if you happen to make it down toward Parrsboro and want to be adventurous, common down to Spencers Island. Our home is the small one next to the church on the beach road. It's the only church in the village of Spencers Island. The little guy will get to go into the old home of his name sake. He has an uncle who lives there these days. We'll be home the end of July and early August.
