I had the infinite privilege of seeing Wolfstone live in Inverness at Eden Court Theatre on Wednesday. What a night!!!!!!! Wow, it was absolutely amazing!
Brilliant piping and fiddling, and lovely songs. Nice poetic ballads like "Jericho" and "in my dreams", and "Boys from Balivanich". Some good rocky stuff like "Black Dog", announced with some humour by Stuart (the vocalist). "Some people write songs for other people, and i have also written a song for my friend. Now he' s a black and white dog, i can just see him running with his ears flying and jumping all around. I have a bit difficulties in accompanying him these days ...... he' s dead for one point." Aye, nice one Stuart, sure ye miss ' im eh? The piper' s fantastic, man, i haven't seen anything like that before. Duncan of course was in his usual brilliant form , and his fiddling is unique. Brilliant instrumental pieces as ye well ken, start off slow and get ye dreaming until .... yeah and off ye go!! What a night, a shame it was a seated venue alltho my friend and I got the first four front rows on the left hand side dancing right enough hehe. And we were lucky enough to meet the guys after the gig, really friendly. Signed Tickets , or the Setlist in Inga's case, took pics with us and as band alltogether and answered our million questions. "Will ye be playing on Skye?" - "Yes, we will be there in December." OOOOOOOOOOOOh guess who's gonna be there if its not clashing with some other dates (what i for goodness sake dont hope hehe)?????????? laugh.gif biggrin.gif tongue.gif smile.gif cool.gif
