Christopher Reeves was truely a "SUPERMAN".

He put up a compelling fight for 9 long years. He brought into public focus the much needed research into spinal cord injuries and while mobility was greatly limited his daily fight to survive was remarkable. I could not take my eyes off of him when I would see him in a spot part in a film and was amaze at his strength and courage he displayed.

He will always be a "superman" to me!

Gah! The boys and I were talking about him at the shop friday. Talking, heatedly, about stem cell research. The man had a new vision, and reached a lot of people with it. sad.gif

So that's two now. George Reeves, who played Superman in a television role for years, called The Adventures of Superman durring the 50's. He met a tragic end too. And now another Reeve/Superman. The person who cast Christopher must have had one twisted sense of humour. Bad karma.

Yeah, this is rotten. Because of those two, and their surnames, I always though, as a kid, that the men in our family were like superman. wink.gif And now, I'm building my Supertruck in that fasion. Too crazy.

RIP, and thanks for making a positive impact.

I had always heard a lot about Christopher Reeve, but I never realized until recently how serious was his spinal injury. A close friend of mine was in a car accident and had the same sort of injury, except that his spinal cord was not broken. All the doctors tell us that he should be either paralysed or dead, but the Lord spared him both his life and his mobility. As I watch the movies that Christopher played, I have often wondered how he could cope so well. He was truly a super man. smile.gif
