How Was Your Day Today?

My day was great. I slept till noon and then I went to work at 1, and then I will go home at 5 and do nothing! Haha! No really I will be working on my video after work.

My night last night was BUSY! Singtel (singapore telecom) had one of their undersea cables go down and they're not expected to get it working again until the end of the month (takes awhile to dispatch a cable ship to fix it). We had a few customers that were understandably ticked, and I got to play damage control all night. Hopefully things will be quieter tonight. Don't they understand I have better things to do? Like listen to Celtic Radio and check out the forums?

Goodness, Irish - that does sound stressful (yet fascinating). All I have to complain about is being sick and tired of being sick and tired....

I can agree with the sick and tired part. I've had a cold since last Tuesday. Lost my voice for saturday and sunday. I got it back Monday, just to be stuck on the phone all night and strain it again. I've been suckin' down orange juice and cough drops to keep from coughing my head off.

Take care of that throat! Rest your voice when possible. Try and get plenty of rest and hot (not too hot) soothing drinks. Hope you get better.

~ Today was a fantastic day! And the eve was just as splendid! Put what I consider to be the 'finishing touches' on the Christmas decorating...Homemade candies in the candy dishes...lots of baked goodies/treats in the 'goodie jars'..Crisp, clean tablecloths on all the tables.. A few O'ginalli's stopped by, had some cider, conversation and took home their own tin of 'goodies'...so indeed it was a Splendid Day!

My day today so far has been really nice. I got up read the paper had my tea, sent my Son off to school. Went and got on the treadmill for 40 minutes. Did some laundry, been on the puter a long time, I am going to Tai Chi Class so guess I best get off here.

Stayed home today to fill out paperwork for the Transportation Security Administration. I'm applying for a security screener position at O'Hare Airport.

Tonight we're going out to The Patio (see below) for my mom's birthday dinner, then over to my sister's for cake and presents.

Well, Happy Birthday, Mike's mom!! I have had a good day - wrestled with the people at Circuit City about my PDA, and lost (of course), but mostly been here at work bumping along, researching people.

I can't wait to go to The Patio and have an Italian sausage sandwich with some barbecue sauce and fries (with barbecue sauce on the side for dipping purposes) ...

Oh Mike your killing me..what a lucky guy. Wish I could join you. My day rocked!!!! Hung out all day talking to THE most incredible person and to top it all off I get to talk to all of you. It is just like living in Paradise!!! Next I think I will visit maisky to get my inner peace groove on!!! WooHoo... Must be something left in his house...

The drawbacks are that you have to have strong technical skills, years of experience and be willing to work wherever the client wants you.

Today, I had the worst craving for a cigarette I've had since I quit almost four years ago. I woke up and almost immediately wanted to fire one up. Finally, about 1:30, I stopped and bought a pack of Wrigley's Extra bubble gum.
