You may ask who is Andrew De Moray, no he is not a tennis player. He was in fact the man who raised the saltire in the North for the Wars of Independence. It was he who won over the north from the English taking back Castle after Castle. He joined forces with the outlaw William Wallace. There were similar uprisings throughout Scotland at this time. Andrew De Moray fought side by side at Stirling Bridge, sustaining fatal wounds. It is said that it was in fact he who thought out the tactics for the Battle. Because De Moray was a titled land owner Wallace used De Morays embossed notpaper to give credibility to the Independence claim.
There is more to find about De Moray on the internet type Andrew De Moray into Google and follow from there. Let us not forget Andrew De Moray, may his name live on.

Slainte.
