I have nothing but the greatest respect for those who serve in the military. Being an Air Force brat myself, I know how difficult it can be. I have a friend who is being deployed in October with the TN guard who's son is also being deployed to Iraq. I constantly keep all of the men and women in uniform in my prayers and will continue to do so.
I will certainly keep him in our prayers. I was in the Army for 5 years back when desert shield was going on and I know how stressful it can be for you. I know he will be craddled in the hands of God. It is a wonderful thing to serve this great nation and I hope and pray all goes well.

Bluegrasslady, it was always alot of fun when triplet's were little. House was always crazy. Kids in the neighborhood running thru all of the time, but wouldn't have had it any other way... triplet's are 2 girls and one boy.
Thanks for clarifying the relationship of Ryan being Egan's cousin, not Nephew. Poor kid doesn't want those defective genes.
Just put my eldest back on a plane to South Carolina. LAX to SFO to Myrtle Beach. Got a call, they cancelled his LAX to SFO leg. Nay Nay, I have a connection. Scurry scurry and they got him to SFO in time and he made the final leg. His luggage didn't but he did.
So far he has spent the war (paraphrasing Patton) shoveling fecal material in South Carolina. Will be going to Kunsan AFB in Korea this winter. Knowing what he does, where Kunsan is and the current climate in Korea, I'ld rather he go to the Mid-East, so would he. He has that young man's "I'm missing the war all my buddies are fighting in" feeling. His Mom and I are glad he isn't but that's the breaks. He joined spring of 01. All his buddies that enlisted after the Towers have been in theatre, some twice.
We're proud of all of them.
Dad feels like the old firehorse that heard the bells, smells the smoke, but nobody came and dropped the harness on.
Lest we forget. Lest we forget.

Ryan will be back in North Carolina the week of August 23. He has to wait til sometime in November for his enlistment period to be up. He has said, he will not be re-upping again. He has put in 5 years in the Marines and says he wants to see the world from a different view.

So glad to hear that Ryan will soon be stateside this month. Bet there's going to be a party when he gets home!
