Hi,

I'm Marc, known as domilsean, from Pittsburgh. I play Irish pub music -- Paddy Trad (I think that's what they're calling it these days) -- with a group called Ceann (aka Ceann na Caca).

I enjoy reading, no specific genre. I've been reading lots of Orthodox Christian stuff lately, as well as Irish monastic stuff.

I have a kitten named Clar Eadain and he likes to scratch.

In addition, I used to be a big scholar of all things Irish, monastic, and medieval, but I got burned out on Old Irish and Latin, though my modern Irish improves with inebriation. I'm currently trying to teach myself Polish -- wish me luck.

Hello Marc! Fàilte gu Celtic Radio! Welcome to Celtic Radio!

Wow! Old Irish, Latin and now Polish???? I'd be happy just to master Scottish Gaelic! I moderate the Celtic Languages forum, and we love to have you drop in and say hi!

In my humble opinion, you have found one of the best websites ever. The people here are some of the nicest to be found anywhere on the net, and the music is simply out of this world.

So kick off your shoes, grab a mug of your favorite hot (or cold) beverage, turn up the music and have fun! I look forward to getting to know you better through your posts.

If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to ask anyone with the word "Guide" beneath their avatar. That's why we're here!

Again, it is so nice to have you with us. We are like one big family here, and we just love welcoming new members to the fold! I hope that you will enjoy your stay with us, and that you will come back and visit with us often. I feel quite certain that you will grow to love the place as much as I have.

Welcome to the family, my friend!
And welcome home! smile.gif

Welcome!

I work with a professor who's husband specializes in Irish monasticism (among other things) - fascinating field! Especially when you consider that most of Druidism is known today because of the wonderful monks in Ireland who bothered to get to know their neighbors - thereby making the new Christianity more platable to them.

I'm a relatively new member myself, and I've beenalmost overwhelmed by how friendly and helpful everyone here is.

ENJOY!

Gaibh maith mille ma h'agat!

Forgive me if my Irish is rusty, Polish got me down lately.

I DO know phalloran, and in fact, it is his enthusiasm for this site that got me to check it out. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Slan/do widzenia,

Marc
