I just had to share this with my Celtic Family cause I'm so excited to share it. A dear Friend of our family Kenneth McKilligan has made it into the magazine "Scottish Life" which is a great publication from the United Kingdom.

Kenneth who lives in Huntley (my family home town) up in Aberdeenshire Scotland was put into the Summer 2004 news print. The ariticle lists how Kenneth is putting a special yellow jacket on all of his Lambs. The material is a bright yellow jacket and it helps keep the foxes from attacking them. What it does is to hide their scent from predators and the yellow color confuses the fox who have no idea what they are approaching.

Quoted in the magazine: Kenneth said" I've got the best dressed lambs for miles around.

I can wait to go see them Kenneth next year. I'll bet it's strange to be riding along and suddenly as you come into town you see all of these Lambs in life preservers, now where's the beach? ha ha Glad to see the Lambs are taking to it. Poor beasties!
Love you dearly Kenneth and congrat's on making the publication!

Annabelle

When I go to see the family next year I'll take a picture and put it on here. I think it sounds so funny looking. Aragorn maybe I should take them some sunglasses too. Now that would be a great picture!

Actually this is a cleaver idea who ever thought of it. It protects the little darlings! Usually when I go home they have pink, blue, orange or yellow big dot on their booties. This is the way to grade the wool and each sheep is seperated according to the quality of the wool and sent in seperate directions so the wool is already graded once it's clipped.
One of the colors are sheep that are marked to go to the slaughter house. Poor babies!

Mary had a little lamb,
Its fleece was white as snow
and everywhere that Mary went
the lamb was shure to go

It followed her to school one day
and a big grey dog ate it..... biggrin.gif
